The American Medical Association has noted that stress is the basic cause of more than 60% of all human illness and disease. Every week, 95 million Americans suffer some kind of stress related symptoms for which they take serious medications.

Stress is a modern word for suffering. We hear that if we can learn to manage and reduce stress we can avoid the diseases it causes. The heart of my approach in dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues is that our underlying nature is essentially without stress. Awareness that our underlying nature, at its source, is essentially without stress has the power to affect all areas of our life. We can overcome the ways we limit ourselves.

I am an LCSW with 20 years of experience providing psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families. In my practice I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Short-Term Therapy, and also incorporate Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and Insight Oriented Psychotherapy.
